Who are the pastoral workers?

Pastoral workers are baptised laity who commit themselves in the work of the Church (known as pastoral work). Together with the parish priest and parish clergy, these members of the laity offer their time to carry out some form of work (hence they are called workers) in the various services, or ministries, offered by the parish. They live their call as Christians wholeheartedly by participating and being responsible for spreading God’s word to others, not only by their words but also by their concrete actions, work and example.
