What do you need to know to organize a funeral?
Speak to the parish priest of the parish where the funeral will be held or the priest who will be presiding the function to guide you in the preparation. Among other things, the priest can advise on readings and on appropriate liturgical singing/music. The singing during the funeral mass must be liturgical.
For logistical aspects, it is also a good idea to speak to the funeral director.
